What we do
MODELS AND PAGEANT also known as MAP is an event organiser for modelling and pageantry. It is a platform to get everyone involved, be in the loop and have meaningful social connections. It is also an opportunity to experience to be a model. When you think you don’t have what it takes we help build your confidence. It’s time to shine and own the stage.
We offer coaching on how to walk, talk, pose and style. These workshops are run in a group for free to everyone who registers to partake in the event. We also accept booking these services privately and can offer a one-on-one training or group training. You can consider booking with us in a team building or even just a group of friends who’d like to have fun. Other services we could incorporate into this workshop are photography, videography, makeup artistry, garment hire and creation of garment.
MAP is a licensed employer and model agent based in Perth. We also supply models and creative talents to promote their business for advertising and collaboration. You can check more About MAP (Models and Pageant) our services here.
First Event
The first event held by Models and Pageant was in December 2018, The Fashion Project Season 1. It is a social project with a purpose of promoting diversity, inclusivity and multiculturalism. There is no height, no size, no experience, no status required. Breaking the stereotype in modelling, we believe that modelling is for everyone.
Models of different cultural background are trained to walk, pose and showcase the designers creative garment on the runway. They also get to compete for the yearly title Fashion Project Top Model. Winners will get crown, sash, gifts and cash prizes.
The models who participated in all of the 5 Fashion Projects were from France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, UK, Iran and of course Aboriginal and Australians. Previous Fashion Project Top Models winners were Emalyn Ho 2018, Katerina Kalugina 2020, Kian Paget 2020, Milanija Denys Boyd 2021, Parmis Jafari 2022
Every year Models and Pageant is committed to organising this spectacular fashion event and providing an opportunity for everyone wanting to model with or without experience. Do not stress if you don’t have any experience, trainings will be provided. This journey is all about having fun. Miss Western Australia
Models and Pageant also organises pageantry. The first one was Miss Western Australia 2020. This pageant were joined by female advocates, charity supporters and cause promoters. It was held in the city of Perth and were open to all female from different cultural background living in WA. Thelma Zhoya was the first Miss Werstern Australia in 2020.
It was succeeded with Miss Western Australia 2021 held at Mills Park Centre. With 3 categories opened to kids, teens and adults. The winners were; Bob Lexie Tyson – Little Miss Western Australia, Atheena Eduzor – Miss Teen Western Australia, Lilian Mariita – Miss Western Australia. Models and Pageant were interviewed on the radio by ABC Perth, it has attracted the purpose of this platform in smashing the stereotypes in the beauty pageant.
International Send Off
Models and Pageant has sent 2 candidates to an international pageant in February 2019. Krysta Heath representing Australia and Nicole Vargas representing Philippines. Through their journey they flew to Cambodia for 2 weeks where they get involved in the mission of saving the Planet. along with other candidates from around the world they planted trees, visited the children’s hospital, travel to Angkor Wat and had the ultimate experience that Cambodia has to offer. The result of the international competition was amazingly in our favour. Miss Planet Australia was in the top 16 and Miss Planet Philippines as 4th Runner Up for Miss Planet International.
We also had the opportunity to send Miss Grand Sea Australia in an international competition held in June 2019 at Sophia Bulgaria. It was a week of fun activities visiting the town and experiencing the rich culture of Bulgaria. The pageant was aired in the national tv in Bulgaria. Among all candidates around the world Chloe our Miss Grand Sea Australia was the main winner of Miss Grand Sea International. We are so proud of her. She was also featured in the World Class Beauty Queen Magazine. This is a big success for us Models and Pageant.
